Smartphones for online learning

Horace Mann, a pioneer of American public schools in the 19th century, famously called education the "great equalizer of the conditions of men."

A high-school student and a member of Jhep Foundation - Aadya leads the way with this motto. Young conscientious minds like Aadya are the future of this country. When Aadya learned of the reality that many students of her age who come from economically underprivileged backgrounds cannot continue with the school lessons which are being offered online because they cannot afford a smartphone or a laptop, she decided to act and do her part.

Aadya and her high-school friends from across various cities in India decided to sell their own artwork and used books to raise funds toward this cause.

Aadya developed an online appeal to share with friends and donors requesting them to join her campaign by either making a monetary donation or donating artwork or books for auctioning purposes. All proceeds raised through this campaign will be used to purchase smartphones for the students in need.

Jhep Foundation has partnered with many schools around Pune and Ahmednagar districts of Maharashtra that serve underprivileged kids, who will be provided smartphones as part of this campaign.

We hope you also join Aadya's campaign for a brighter future of India which is only possible through educated and literate youth!
